This sample demonstrates WebDragDropExtender in a real world scenario such as the ability to drag one or multiple mail items and drop it to the navigation pane. This sample shows the combination of advanced features available in WebDragDropExtender including special integration with Intersoft's components.

There are at least four key features demonstrated in this sample:

Sophisticated drag support for WebGrid.NET Enterprise 5.0+. WebDragDropExtender includes a custom interface for extended programmability in order to control all drag drop behaviors in a consistent and structured manner. WebGrid implements the CustomDragInterfaceBase client interface to provide powerful drag behaviors in WebGrid control. In this sample, you can drag one selected item to the navigation pane. You can also try to check on several mail items and drag and drop it into the navigation pane. These behaviors are provided as built-in features in WebDragDropExtender. You just need to specify the high-level property in the WebDragDropExtender server-side control to enable these special integration features.
Vista style drag visual hints. Try to check on several checkboxes in the mail items, then notice the drag visual hint will use a special Vista style indicator. The number of dragged items are shown automatically in the visual hint.
Pixel-detailed contextual dropable. WebDragDropExtender is built on the top of rock solid event messaging system enabling you to drop items into detailed element of a control. For instance, when you drag and hover an item to the navigation pane, notice that different action will be performed on different element. If you hover on "Outbox", "Draft" etc, you will see a "Move effect" with contextual tooltip/feedback. Then try to hover on "Calendar" bar or other icons in the bottom of the navigation pane. Also notice if you move your mouse to a non-valid element like the empty space of the navigation pane, the indicator will turn to "Not allowed" effect automatically.
AJAX drag drop. This sample is not only a prototype. You can really move the mail items to the other folder. Try to move several mail items from Inbox to Draft, and notice the mail items will reflect immediately. Now click on the Draft folder and find the moved items in there. Enjoy!
